Interior Plant Specialist Irvine, California, August 16, 2005, Plantscapers Inc. was selected to design & maintain the interior landscaping for the 2005 Southern California Sunset Magazine Idea House. The Idea House is designed to celebrate the best of California living. It is a modern Craftsman-Style home located within the gated village of Covenant Hills at Ladera Ranch – a 4,000-acre master planned community in Orange County. Plants were installed in a total of 14 rooms. A Plantscapers's client Quiksilver sponsored one room in particular, the game/entertainment room in the basement. Their Visual Arts department originally contacted the Plantscapers to assist them with their interior plant needs of the space. The opportunity grew to the entire house after the first meeting with the homebuilder, Mulvaney & Company and Annie Speck, the interior designer. “As a contributor to this years house, we have a unique opportunity to co-brand our company with the likes of a national powerhouse publication like Sunset Magazine. We also have the chance to show visitors how plants enhance & complete the interior environment of a home,” says Julie Davis Farrow, owner of the Plantscapers. Julie adds, “Plantscaping is the finishing touch to any interior design of a house. It’s the same parallel as buying an Armani Suit yet wearing Payless Shoes. It’s the final touch that really makes a job.” Sunset Magazine will be conducting tours of the Idea House between
the hours of 9am – 6pm, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through October
16th, 2005. More information about the house and tours can be found
