  • Interior Designers

  • Homeowners
  • Facility Managers

The relationship is symbiotic as each party contributes to the transformation of interiors into an enriched and inspiring environment.

That’s why Plantscapers continually wins awards like the 2007 National Award of Merit recently given at the industry’s annual Calscape Conference held in Las Vegas. The award was presented to Susi Tomich, design consultant for Plantscapers. Tomich won the award in the Silk, Replica & Preserved Category for her interior landscaping design and her ingenious work at Hoag Hospital’s-Sue and Bill Gross Women’s Pavilion located in Newport Beach, CA.

Tomich worked directly with Rita Brown and Bill Cadieux from the Facilities, Design and Construction Department at Hoag Hospital. “Plantscapers’ design consultants understood Hoag’s needs by using ‘healing’ plants adding softness and sophisticated beauty that brought the outdoors inside,” Cadieux said about the award-winning project by Plantscapers.

Research shows  that interior plants can be used to improve the health of patients in health care facilities,” says Tomich. “The positive effects nature has on the speed of a patient recovery can be documented.”  Tomich created replica and live plant arrangements in order to compliment the overall theme of the newly constructed wing of the hospital.
