Julie Davis Farrow

CEO and Founder
Julie Davis Farrow started Plantscapers in 1981 while she pursued her college degree in interior design, horticulture and business.   Today, she serves the company as Founder and CEO and is instrumental in the direction, culture and leadership of the organization.   Julie also serves as a Design Consultant, working alongside our many clients in making their dream interiors a reality.

Julie specializes in creative and innovative designs utilizing “green products” and the finest plants from the best growers.  Julie is an active member of Green Plants for Green Buildings, AmericanHort, and The National Association of Landscape Professionals.  Additionally, Julie was a founding member of Pinnacle V, an international peer group of plantscape professionals who share best practices and progressive business strategy.  She is a registered speaker trained by AIA to present “Authentically Green Interiors: Optimizing Nature’s Design.”

Julie finds passion in her clients’ reaction once a job has been installed. She enjoys working together as a team with the design community to complete their work with her “green” designs.

In her spare time, you can find Julie playing volleyball and tennis, enjoying a time with friends and her two amazing children, Courtney and Trevor, as well as her energetic grandson Dakarie.

Mark Farrow

In 1983, Mark Farrow was working for a local moving company.  At the time, Julie and Mark were friends and Julie needed some “braun” to lift some plants on an install.   She asked for help.  After the job was complete, Mark found the nearest payphone, called his boss at the moving company, quit his job, and joined Plantscapers.   The rest was history, as Mark now serves as our COO.

Mark’s day-to-day responsibilities includes managing the overall operations of the business, including our installation and holiday departments, warehouse inventory, green wall installations, as well as a strong contributor of employee morale and training.   He is the point person on our team that ensures that we have a well-oiled and successful operational structure.

On weekends, Mark can be found playing tennis, golfing, or watching any sporting event, including his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens. One of his biggest joys is spending time with his grandson Dakarie.

Jason Cupp

Jason Cupp and Julie Farrow met at an industry event many years ago in Las Vegas, and they began regular conversations about marketing and sales. With Jason’s background as a business owner, combined with his knowledge and education in accounting and financial metrics, staff development, leadership, as well as team building and hiring, Jason joined Plantscapers as CFO.   His role involves many diverse facets, including financial reporting, sales forecasting, budgeting, human resources, team building, as well as developing relationships to successfully execute the Plantscapers growth plan.

Jason is a long-standing member and Past President of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP).   He has been Landscape Industry Certified since 2001, is a current member of the Interior Specialty Group for NALP, and is the Chair of the Interiorscape Industry Coalition.   Jason also leads Pinnacle V, an international peer group of interior business owners, which Plantscapers is a founding member.   Lastly, Jason has been Kolbe Certified for almost 10 years, using that knowledge to build dynamic and efficient teams all over North America.

Jason, a self-described coffee and Apple computer addict, enjoys photography, traveling, reading, the beach, and connecting with his many friends and family around the world, when not busy at his laptop or in the office working.

Michael Healy

Operations Manager
Michael Healy has had a love of plants for a long time. As a young boy he would often go with his mother to work where she maintained indoor greenery for many companies. He observed her helpful and positive attitude towards all her clients and learned early on the secrets of customer service and the power of a smile.

His solid experience managing projects across the United States for over ten years has been a perfect fit for us. High-profile customers such as Wells Fargo Bank, Chase Bank and other financial institutions made up Michael’s daily client list where he successfully improved each company’s efficiency and profits.

The skills he perfected over the years are now put to use every day at Plantscapers. He oversees and manages many key facets of our company from customer service, purchasing, and running our Horticulture department; to working directly with our employees, vendors and clients. Michael maintains a positive presence with everyone through his clear-cut communication which seamlessly connects every aspect of our operations into a smooth, efficient and prosperous company.

Michael finds time to hang out at the beach and surf the waves. He also loves to snowboard, scuba dive, swim, travel and enjoys good times with friends and family. During his years at Woodbridge High School, he honed his teamwork skills playing defensive end for the football team. Today he is a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings.


Susi Tomich

Design Consultant
Susi Tomich has been on the Plantscapers team for over 15 years, focusing on client relationships as a Design Consultant. With her formal educational background in art, Susi uses this amazing talent to transform clients’ needs and wants into a progressive and innovative design presentation.

Susi is an international award winning designer, having received the coveted “Award of Merit” by California Interior Plantscape Association (CIPA) multiple times.   Her one-of-a-kind designs are very well respected in the industry, and can be seen first-hand in countless Plantscaper clients lobbies, offices and residences across Southern California.   By using her contemporary flair in all of her projects, combined with her computer graphic renderings, Susi consistently impresses her clientele with her creativity.   She is a registered trainer with AIA and works closely with the design and architectural community to complete their work.

Susi loves spending her free time on the soccer field with her family, which includes her husband, daughter and dog.

Tani Armstrong

Office Manager
Tani Armstrong has been on the Plantscapers team since 2014 as our Office Manager.   Tani’s focus on the client experience from an administrative standpoint is the nucleus of our culture, and clients and vendors alike have constant interaction with her.

With Tani’s lifelong experience in accounting, human resources and employment staffing, she works closely with other members of the Management Team for precise and timely information.

Tani has been married to her husband for 25 years, where they share a passion for traveling, as well as spending time with their friends, siblings, nieces and nephews.
